On-going Maintenance Window Week of March 3-7, 2014
Troy Cable has identified a manufacturing defect with a piece of optical equipment that services our Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH customers). This defect has the potential to affect both residential, and business customers with the FTTH technology during periods of high temperature, and disrupt service.
During the week of March 3 - 7, 2014, we will be conducting on-going maintenance windows replacing these components across our network.
Where the component services residential only, the work will be done during daylight hours.
For those affecting business customers, the work will be done between 12:00 AM & 6:00 AM each night.
Maximum downtime for any outages will only be about 5 minutes, and will affect voice and data services. Any firewalls on customer premises may require reboot after the outage.
Any questions may be answered by calling our Help Desk staff at 334-770-4357, or 334-566-3310.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your patience.
